What Are 4D Number Plates?
4D plates get their name from the additional dimension of depth created by laser-cut acrylic letters and numbers. Each character is precisely cut from 3mm acrylic sheet and bonded to the plate face, producing a raised effect with perfectly straight edges. 4D Plates vs 3D Gel Plates – What’s the Difference?
Both 4D and 3D gel plates feature raised characters, but the finish is different. 3D gel plates have a smooth, domed surface created by polyurethane resin, whilst 4D plates have flat-topped characters with crisp, laser-cut edges.
